I can understand why he feels that way. Even his mom was taunting him via text as the Seattle Seahawks crushed the Denver, Broncos. Out of deference to Kevin, though, I won't mention the score here.
But what Kevin - and most men - don't seem to understand is that it is not whether your team wins or loses that is important for history. Rather, it is how good you looked rooting for your team. And my family looked good!
As it happens, Grandpa and at least two of his granddaughters didn't pay much attention to the game anyway. They happily dug in Grandpa's garden and then nibbled away on the carrots and beets they dug up.
And even Kevin smiled when Viv danced along with the half time show.
Please note the beautiful brick fire place in the background of the picture above. This was Grandma's first hosting gig since she moved into her new home. She was showing it off a bit. But we will save all the good pics of her home for a post exclusively about it.
