This past summer, our family was going to attend the wedding of one of my cousins. At the time, Bridgette got very excited and insisted that we go and get a wedding dress for her.
Even though the reception was to be more casual - the bridesmaids were going to wear denim - I could not budge Bridgette from her quest for the most fancy, white wedding dress.
As it turns out, the wedding didn't happen, and Bridgette never got to wear her wedding dress... until now.
Bridgette eagerly donned her dress the morning we visited the new Gilbert, Arizona Temple. The Temple is currently having an open house, prior to its dedication on March 2nd.
I look forward to one day watching her wear her real wedding dress, perhaps at this same Temple. I hope she'll keep the memory of this preview moment.
PS - the photos without Bridgette in them were taken by Bridgette. She grabbed my camera and took snapshots around the grounds.
