Yesterday morning, Kevin got to stay home a little later than normal since he had an appointment he was going to before heading in to work. So, when 7:30 rolled around, Kevin and I were chatting away in our bathroom, getting ready for the day.
Bridgette heard her father's voice and bounded out of bed (whereas she normally rolls over and sleeps for another hour). She startled us as she ran into the bathroom, but her happiness to have her dad home was contagious.
Vivienne woke up at about the same time, so I went and rescued her from her crib. She snuggled into my chest as I carried her into our bathroom with everyone else. I commented on having all our family together that morning.
Bridgette, who by this time had hopped into the shower to wash the tangles out of her hair, poked her head around the shower wall and enthusiastically stated, "It can't get any better than this!"
So true.
