May Flowers

In Arizona, you've got to plant before it gets too hot outside.  We were cutting it close when in mid-May we made a Saturday morning excursion to the Home Depot. 

At the time were only planning on replacing a few of our front yard bushes with something more colorful, but Bridgette couldn't resist all the colorful flowers.  Each plant/flower pictured below is one that she picked out and insisted on putting in our cart.  When we got home, we planted several of them in flower pot by the side of our house.

Once the high temperatures set in, the only survivor was the purple lantana, but it sure looks pretty and makes us smile and think of Bridgette everytime we pull into our garage.
