NYC (and Kevin) - What Is It About You?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Kevin and I have now been married for 5 fabulous years - and we still keep telling each other how we love "playing house" together.

Despite many stressors in our life this spring, Kevin decided we needed to take the time to mark the momentous occasion of this anniversary.  So, in addition to the requisite flowers, he really surprised me with a trip to New York.

Here's how it went down.  He arrived at my law office at noon for a pre-planned lunch.  Of all things, he brought hot dogs for us to eat.  Then, towards the end of lunch he handed me a homemade card/flyer announcing that "one amazing journey deserves another," and listing our itinerary.

I was very surprised.  I was just thinking we'd do another stay-cation, but his itinerary had us running in Central Park! (In the end we actually rode bikes around the park)  It turns out I am slow though.  It took me 'til much later in the afternoon to figure out that the hot dogs were part of the New York theme.
