My Rules

The other day, Bridgette out of the blue said to me, "Mom, when I grow up I want your rules."

I must have looked a little quizical, because she went on to explain.  "When I'm a Mom, I want your rules, so our kids will know what to do."

I am taking that as a compliment and thought it a sweet sentiment to savor especially around Mother's Day.
