Easter morning was all about the thrill of the hunt for Bridgette. Once we announced that we thought the Easter Bunny had made a visit to our house during the night, there was no stopping her. She raced down to the kitchen and began scavanging for eggs. She didn't even stop to look at her Easter Basket. (The hardest egg for her to find this year was in the dish cabinent. Oh that tricky Easter Bunny!)
It was the same in the afternoon at the hunt at Marc and Karen's house. Grandma thinks we had over 500 eggs out on the lawn this year, and Bridgette was determined to get all of them. When her basket ranneth over, she started handing the eggs she found to her Mom and Dad for safe keeping.
After the hunt was over, Bridgette continued to act in mercenary ways. She negotiated a trade with her older cousin Chantelle - all of Chantelle's candy for all of Bridgette's coin. They both thought they got the better end of that deal.
The only thing that might have topped Bridgette's joy in the hunt was her delight in her Easter dress. She let all her other girl cousins know that she had the best dress, because she had the most twirly skirts on her dress.
