Sometimes I wonder why my parents pulled up roots and moved from Colorado to Whidby Island, Washington. I am currently at their new home with my brothers Tod and Brad. We are here helping my dad build a deck on the front of their new home. When I woke up this morning and saw this view, I realized that maybe they're on to something. It really is beautiful here.Here are a few pictures of our progress on the deck. We'll work again on Monday and I'll try to post another progress report then.
This is the house when we started. Notice the door in the middle of the second story that opens to nowhere. If you're not careful, you could have a nasty fall from there!

I can't wait to go see the finished result. You guys were lucky to have the mountain out. I've never seen it before ... just clouds. Beautiful clouds.
