My Favorite Gift This Year

My favorite gift this year was a homemade ornament from Bridgette. It wasn't any more cute than other art projects she's done in the past - although the ribbons and button are very cute and creative. It wasn't how she did all the writing, because she does that a lot now. No, what I love is how she signed it: "Your happy daughter." Apparently, the wording was her own and not prompted by an adult. Knowing that she is happy is the best gift I could get. Now we just have to keep it up for about 80 more years...
