Baby Blessing

Today was Vivienne's baby blessing.  For once, we got up early on a Sunday and got ready on time. All the girls had new dresses, and Vivienne especially looked sweet in a cream colored linen dress, trimmed with tulle.

Kevin blessed Vivienne with vitality, health and a body that would allow her to pursue her passions.

He blessed her to keep the peaceful nature she came into this world with.

He blessed her to find joy in life's mysteries, balance faith and learning, and to have courage to create her own path.

He blessed her with the ability to discover what she wants to be in life at an early age.

He blessed her to find love and companionship in this life and marry in the Temple.

He told her to treasure her family bonds, especially the one with her sister.

And he blessed her to gain a knowledge and appreciation of the atonement and to have steadfast faith.

Above all, he told her she is always loved; by her Heavenly Father, by the Savior, and by her parents.

After the blessing was over, Kevin returned Vivienne to my arms.  She nuzzled in and fell asleep for the rest of church.  This is the view I got to enjoy. (Note - the little bracelet was a gift for the occasion from our friend Linnlee)

After sacrament meeting was over, we went outside briefly for pictures.  But then we hustled home for a lovely lunch with all the family who came to the blessing.

your daughters are adorable! I wish Bridgette and Ayden could play. I think they would be good friends.
