Late this afternoon, we finally took another AFI test. After 24 hours of constant saline, the test showed my fluids were back up! Good news. They sent us home.
So, the last couple of days were just a dress rehearsal for the big event. We will surely manage to pack our bags in advance now. ;-)
It is not entirely clear if my fluids were really down to begin with. My understanding, per the nurses and the doctors is that the low measurement could have been a coincidental timing thing (measuring just after the baby drank?) or could have occurred because something like an umbilical cord was in a pocket preventing it from being measured. OR, it could have really been low and the saline did it's job (I am literally five pounds heavier in the space of 24 hours with all that fluid in me).
But I do know that we are extremely grateful we live in this era of modern medicine. I'm so glad that there are tests out there to measure fluid and measure heart rates. While we sat in the hospital (getting a sore bum from the unyielding medical bed), it was super reassuring to hear the constant "whir, whir, whir" of Vivienne's strong heart. She is one lucky baby - even if she did almost get induced on Friday the 13th.

Glad everything is ok. I had low fluid with Ayden and was constantly worried with Gavin. Having frequent monitoring is reassuring. And it'll be nice when shes finally here!
Time is certainly ticking down quickly now. We love you and are thinking about your growing little family.
