Lizard Rescue

Loading our car to leave for church today, Kevin noticed a lizard stuck in one of our scorpion traps (a sticky cardboard box set near the door from our garage into our house).

I would've just thrown the poor lizard away, but Kevin and creature-loving Bridgette were determined to try to save him.  It was harder than they thought it would be.  That box was really sticky! In trying to pry the lizard loose, Kevin actually pulled off the lizard's tail - but we hear they can live without them.

Ultimately, they were able to get the lizard un-stuck and set him free (we really hope his claws weren't so sticky that he just scurried off to get stuck somewhere else).  Bridgette was particularly helpful in this endeavor - preparing a plastic container full of tasty leaves and rocks.  She exclaimed that they were lovely nature rocks that smelled delicious for the lizard to eat.  Her first thought though was to bring him a container full of white chocolate chips (which is what she was sneakily eating prior to the whole lizard crisis).

I just want you to note Bridgette's hairdo in the picture.  This was my Sunday fancy schamncy hairdo triumph.  I usually don't attempt such twisty feats of hair architecture, so I was pretty pleased when this turned out (don't laugh, those of you who know how simple this really was).
