Impromptu Picnic

I know there are plenty of people that pooh pooh master planning and the sprawl of suburbia.  I understand the reasoning behind the negative attitude.  But I love my slice of suburbia.

Our neigborhood is filled with green belts, walking paths, covered parks and even a man made lake.  These features lead to lots of lovely walks, play at the park, and this weekend's impromptu picnic.  It was Friday night.  We had nothing planned.  And Bridgette, spying a thermos in our pantry announced she wanted to make lemonade and go on a picnic.  So, that's exactly what what we did.

We walked across the street and around the lake.  We passed several small groups of would-be fisherman.  We climbed over the grass hill, and we settled in at a picnic table near a sand-filled park. Lovely.
