We were RAINBOW-LICIOUS last Saturday!
Gretchen, Kevin, Bridgette and I participated in The Color Run at Tempe Town Lake and truly had a fantastic time. It was a short charity run (just 3 miles) with a great gimmick. All the runners started in white, then as we passed certain check points, we got bombarded with color. First yellow, then green, purple and pink!
By the end, we all looked tie-dyed! We were told the color that was thrown at us was essentially dyed corn startch. It had the consistency of chalk dust. While running on one side of the lake, you could see great billows of color rising above the water on the other side of the lake. I wish I had a picture of that, but you didn't dare take our your camera often with all that color dust floating around!
At the end of the race, each runner received more bags of color (or as I called to Bridgette: color bombs!) to throw up in the air. You can imagine the great joy that brought Bridgette! We definitely hope to participate in this race next year.

Mom had described the race to me, but I couldn't really picture until I saw your post. Looks like quite a bit of fun!
