It only took one weekend away from our routine (aka our lovely trip to Washington) for Bridgette to re-develop bad habits.
The first night home, Bridgette cried for a full 30 minutes after Kevin put her down before finally falling asleep.
The kick was that the next day Bridgette related this tale of woe to me, "I cried and cried and Dad didn't come." Then later she warned Kevin that at night she was going to "read books, and say prayers, and get in bed, and cry and cry for Dad."
So tonight, I took Bridgette to a make-up swim lesson, and Bridgette again pitched a fit. Her last crying spat at swim lessons was over a month ago, so this was a real set back.
Over dinner, Bridgette confessed, "I cried for Kelly." (Kelly being the name of her swim instructor)
I asked, "Why did you do that?"
She answered, "I don't know." Then she reconsidered, "On purpose."
At least she admits it.
