Our RV Adventure

We took Bridgette on her first campout, or as we refer to it "Our RV Adventure."
My parents invited us to go on their ward campout, and we agreed so long as we could do it in style. We rented a motorhome. Bridgette was super excited about our "Big Truck." Even before we left town, she just wanted to play inside it.

The campground we went to was called Reynold's Creek. It was beautiful and just enough cooler than The Valley to make it a real treat to be there. Bridgette, like all the other kids on the campout, loved the stream. She and her dad spent a lot of time in it trying to catch a couple of the hundreds of tadpoles present. Great fun!

Bridgette also brought humor to the campgrounds. She had to take her flashlight everywhere - even in full sunlight. And she spent a good portion of time collecting rocks in a bag, until the bag got too heavy to carry. She referred to the rocks as her groceries, and once collected, she pretended to cook them at the campfire.

Perhaps, by the rental of the RV, you figured we weren't diehard campers. It's true. We only brought food that didn't actually have to be cooked. PB & J's anyone? But we smartly parked next to the Tarwaters, who were master dutch oven cookers. They fed us like royalty! Thanks.

I admit when I was sleeping in a tent a few weeks ago and the wind was blowing so hard that I thought I was going to have to make a dash for the car for fear the tent was coming down... I wished I had an RV. Sounds like you guys had a great time!
