Before she was even born, Bridgette had piles of books -in her room, in the family room, and at Grandma's house.
I believe "book" is one of the first words she learned. Grandma Tobler would say, "Go get your books," and Bridgette would dutifully go to one of her piles and grab a literary work.
However, only in the last week has she truly gotten the read-a-book concept. She'll grab a book, climb up into your lap, and really sit still and listen as you turn the pages and read. It's so fun!
I was always a big reader - often absorbed in my stories and oblivious to reality. I hope Bridgette will find great joy reading too.
