We Woke Her Up

As I begin to write this, Kevin asks me, "Why are you confessing are sins?" Well, it wasn't really a sin, but we are guilty of loving our daughter too much.

Tonight on our way to bed, Kevin and I decided to peek in on our princess. We flipped the light on in the hallway, and squeeked (that's the sound our croc-slippers make) into her room. As we hovered over the crib, however, she started to move. It quickly became apparent that this wasn't a resettling sort of move, but more of a I-heard-something-and-I'm-waking-up sort of move.

Kevin and I quickly dove to the ground on opposite sides of her crib, attempting to avoid detection. Fortunately, the ends of her crib are solid and high, so she couldn't see us. Unfortunately, I couldn't contain my giggles, and she could definitely hear us (I mean me).

Quick end of story, we were stuck (or privileged) having to snuggle and love her back to sleep all over again.
