Dancin' Dancin' Girl

Bridgette loves playing music. After many many mornings of listening to the same kiddie songs (i.e. Hi Ho the Derrio and Do Your Ears Hang Low?), Kevin and I broke out the real cd player for her. Now Bridgette pushes a button and bounces to Faith Hill singing "Hey Baby Let's Go to Vegas".

Pictured here is Bridgette joining in the dancing fun when Ellison was performing her Jeanne's School of Dance Routine for Grandma and Grandpa Tobler.

Book Learning

Before she was even born, Bridgette had piles of books -in her room, in the family room, and at Grandma's house.

I believe "book" is one of the first words she learned. Grandma Tobler would say, "Go get your books," and Bridgette would dutifully go to one of her piles and grab a literary work.

However, only in the last week has she truly gotten the read-a-book concept. She'll grab a book, climb up into your lap, and really sit still and listen as you turn the pages and read. It's so fun!

I was always a big reader - often absorbed in my stories and oblivious to reality. I hope Bridgette will find great joy reading too.
